So one of the things I really love about High Point University is the opportunities that they offer and for example they have a whole office dedicated just to internship um and I had an internship this past summer and I already have one lined up for this summer and I can definitely attest that to the internship office because they were able to help me um through my internship search and they also have an internship guarantee Which is just a list of 23 different steps um and you have to complete those and I found my internships by going through that process alongside this internship office, they also have a career in professional development office. Um so both of these offices work together to make sure that you are prepared for applying to these internships and then you have all your materials ready in the career and professional development office. They do have a resume bar um where you come and sit down with a peer career advisor which is a student at High point who is trained in this professionalism atmosphere and they're able to look over your resumes, your cover letters, your linkedin's anything like that. The internship that I found for the past summer um I found through networking because someone that I work with that one of my jobs on campus um what's in that internship, so just connecting with different people all across campus is a good way to network um and see if they have any opportunities or connections that you can take advantage of.
