The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I am a sophomore here at High Point University, so I've been here just about a year and a half now, about to wrap up our fall semester. I am a neuroscience major, psychology minor on the premed trek. What led me to apply to High Point? I had a pretty nontraditional route to finding High Point um not not quite transfer student on non traditional, but I am from charlotte north Carolina, bit north of it in the Mooresville area originally. So high point from where I live at home is about an hour and a half away. This applied early action, which means that I got my decision december of my senior year. So in february I came towards the end of february and that was my first time actually on campus. So I'd never seen campus before and then I just fell in love with it that weekend, it was scholarship weekend, I met amazing people. I actually got a sense for what the school is about in. I had probably toward 8 to 10 schools before stepping on High Points campus and everyone's like, well you'll know when you find the school that you're meant to be at, that it'll just feel different and high Point was the first school that really did feel like that it was the first school that felt different than other schools, felt like I can really see myself being here. The emphasis on being a premier life schools University is really, really huge, there's so much emphasis on preparing you while you're here for four years for after graduation. It's very, very supportive, you are a cohort, it's not just one of you is going to get into med school is that you can all help each other get into med school or P A school or whatever you're goal is. I mean they not only just care about you as just a student and they want you to succeed but like they're your friend and your mentor and a role model and also an advisor for a lot of my professors that I have and they just want to see you achieve your goals and make sure that even in your personal life you're doing well.
