My name is jennifer, I'm 18 and I'm currently a second year student at Glasgow Caledonian University, I'm currently working towards my bachelor's degree in digital security and forensics. I chose GCU see you partly because of the closeness to where I live. I wasn't able to move out of my home so I had to pick somewhere that was nearby and luckily GCU. Has some brilliant transport links. There's the train station, the bus station, which is right across from the campus and the subway station all really nearby. The university facilities are great as well with theArc gym that holds exercise classes, the Union, which is where a lot of people go to meet up with their friends after class, and the huge library which spans four floors and has different areas for group work and silent study. As a student, there are a lot of communities you can get involved in. I'm a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador. I was accepted to the program in October of 2021 Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors are a global community of students who learn from each other and raise awareness of technology within their communities. We also have the opportunity to work on projects together. Right now. I'm working on a project with three other ambassadors from India and we're working to take some official Microsoft documentation and make it more accessible for students and beginners. I also take part in a program run by a company called Cloud Ready Skills. I was introduced to this program by the university and it allows me access to free webinars and free certification vouchers for Microsoft fundamentals exams. The community there is really supportive and encouraging, and these kinds of certifications look great on your CV or your Linkedin account.
