my name is Iain Greg. I am from Edinburgh and I'm currently in my second year of the B.A Honours Accountancy degreeThe standards of teaching are very high, the facilities are great and the location is perfect being right in the city center of Glasgow and the one thing that really stands out about the School is the opportunities they provide to meet and interact with potential future employers. Morgan Stanley one of the world's biggest investment banks were on the campus on my first week as a student to talk about their work placements. The university also gives a lot of support in preparing for finding employment. They have careers advisors that you can book one on one appointments with, they have regular careers fairs. The scheduled seminars are small, there are only a few students in each class, so there's plenty of time to ask questions if you're not quite grasping certain areas of the module. If you're at home and need help with something, the staff are always quick to respond to emails. I've even had some help me out with understanding the material of resume calls. GCU also has a lot of options if you want to get involved in sports or clubs. I like it, that the whole campus is in the center of Glasgow and everything you need is in one place you do get a lot of universities where the buildings will be spread all over the city. It's great that at GCU you can finish a lecture and then five minutes later be at the gym or the shops in the center of town, so if GCU is somewhere you are considering applying to, I would highly recommend that you attend the next open day and see it for yourself.
