Beth's Tips on Settling into the University
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Some tips for settling into university life are, my biggest one would be joined the university Freshers Facebook group, from there, you're able to connect with people who are also doing your course and starting first year and then when you start you'll have some familiar faces or people that you kind of chatted to. Another one is joined societies and clubs. This is something I didn't do until later. However, I'd wish I'd done it in first year because it's just been such great experiences. I've joined dance and the fashion society and they have brought me close to so many people and so many different types of people that I wouldn't have met. You know, I would have just met the people from my course otherwise, and that's been so fun, especially with dance because it's a weekly good exercise, you get to chat to people after class and things like the fashion society, It's got the social side of it, getting to go out, getting to chat to people who have similar interests to you and it's exciting to meet people outside of your course who have different interests, which is really good. So yeah, definitely join some clubs and societies and get involved in the university life I'd say, don't be scared to, you know, join clubs and meet people and reach out and do things. That's one of the biggest things I've loved about Uni so far.
