I would personally say the best kept secret about GCUis becoming a Student Ambassador. That's something you can do from second year onwards, it's a paid opportunity and it gives you the most amazing experiences. I've met some of my closest friends from becoming a Student Ambassador. You get to help out at all the events that go on in the Uni, such as Freshers week and you get to sit there and eat the pizza. You also get to help out so many events. For example, even today I was down at the cafe in town, helping out at the International Welcome Event, I got to have some wee cakes and some tea, afternoon tea. You get to walk around on campus and help answer people's questions and you get to work with so many different people, you get to be in videos and get do photo shoots and stuff. That's just one of the best things I've ever done at the Uni because I've just met so many different types of people and every shift you go in for, you'll be put with different people to talk to, and once you start meeting people through things like this, you'll have people you can talk to always I would never step foot on campus or in the library without seeing someone I know and it's really great to have all these people to chat to and expand your network.
