The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I my name is Rick Hasen and I am a masters in management student at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. I'm originally from los Angeles California and came to Washington, D. C. Three years ago to obtain my under graduate from Georgetown in Science technology and International affairs. The two things that drew me to Georgetown were first the name and second the academic rigor. Both of these only proved true as within the first six months of being a Georgetown I got two internships um just from the name and proximity of high value firms within the D. C. Area. Upon graduating I didn't really know what I wanted to do. I thought that international development would be interesting but I never thought of it as a future career path until the last month or two before graduating. The Georgetown University management program offered a really crucial pivoting point for people who kind of don't know what they want to do or want to change their career path. For me, it was really about gaining those financial and analytical skills in order to be successful in whatever field I chose. Even though I knew that I had this preliminary interest in international development, I wanted to have those financial skills because no matter what I went into, I knew that they would be helpful. The ability to speak to a room while also being able to analyze a financial documents are both skills that are extremely important to the working world, and both are which that I learned throughout my time at George.
