The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Hi there, my name is Florence Garcia and I'm currently a student at Fort Peck Community College. I've been a student there for over a year and I'm a part time student and I'm also a student working remotely. It's kind of interesting because the other thing is I'm also retired and so all of these things together might make you wonder why would somebody who's retired want to be in college? Well, there's a number of reasons. Number one, I am currently a student at Fort Pitt community College, but I'm also teaching, I teach a native american studies class and Fort Pet Community College has what I need to enrich my arts and skill level with cultural and historical knowledge. The other thing is that I'm living in Billings Montana and being able to take courses remotely really makes it very, very worthwhile for me. I'm also an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Sue Anissina Boyne tribes. So I feel like I'm learning more about my own culture and my own history and my own community. The faculty and staff at Fort Peck community College have been so helpful. They're very accommodating and they really work with all students. I feel like I've been able to benefit from some of the opportunities that the college has that make it unique to people of my age or people who don't even live on the reservation. I think it's important to be able to continue learning. I consider myself a lifelong learner and I hope to be able to take courses for several more years. There's always something that I'm interested in and it keeps me going, it keeps me positive and it keeps me healthy and doing good things.
