Hi guys, I'm back and this week I'm going to be telling you a little bit about what my life is like when I have free time and I'm not working for David on his company, looks like veto. One of my favorite things about kenya is how warm and welcoming the people here are. So even if you just need someone once sale and get you something events, um, and it makes for a really hospitable environment. So despite the fact that we have now gone into to it tighter lockdown with a curfew starting at eight, there's still so much to do and still get invited to a lot of fun events. So I'm going to be showing you some of the things that I've done over the last three weeks. Um, and the trip that I was actually able to go on this weekend When we first arrived in Nairobi, there was no lockdown and only a curfew starting at 10. So we were able to go out and experience the really fun and vibrant Nairobi nightlife. So I'm really happy that we were able to take advantage of being able to go to bars, restaurants and clubs before the lockdown actually took effect. This is one of our favorite restaurants mama rocked. It's dangerously close to my apartment and then having a pool in your backyard definitely takes the sting out of being in lockdown. Shortly after we arrived in, Nairobi, a mutual friend had a clothing launch for her brand that she had been working on over the past year about Safari inspired clothing. This was an event at her house launching the new clothing line. It was really fun being able to be in her gorgeous backyard and supporting another local artist here in Nairobi the day turned into a picnic with local DJ and a few other local artists selling chilies and some other clothing in the area. Mhm. Back at David's, he has many talents more than just fashion design. So at least once a week he cooks for some local Kenyan dishes. One thing we've gotten very good at is riding the MMA tattoos. So this is a tattoo that we actually took out of town, leaving Nairobi, going to Lake Naivasha for the long easter weekend is the rift valley where Naivasha is located and this is the drive on the way there. It was so wonderful having such a nice view and looking out the windows and seeing zebras grazing on the grass, definitely not something that you get in Berlin. This is Hell's Gate National Park, one of the national parks that we visited where you could do a cycling safari. So as you can see, we were able to get really close to the animals and not being in a car, made it for a much more intimate experience. Then this was a watering hole where we saw a herd of zebras crossing. The one you can walking through here, you can definitely exceeding inspiration. There's even a rock here called fried rock. I believe there's about 500 hippos on the lake give or take as well as over 400 species of birds. So here you can see about five hippos of family over in the corner. We were happy to stay a safe distance away as they can get quite aggressive. The guard here flying in front of the boat is a cormorant. They're very popular, very common, common late and we got a close to one before realizing that there was a hippo hiding underneath. So happily we were able to get away unscathed last but not least we went on a horseback riding safari, which was super cool because it allowed us to get really close to the animals and observe them going about their day to day business in their natural habitat without disturbing them. If you ever find yourself in kenya and Nairobi, I definitely recommend a weekend away of Russia.
