The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Um, today I'm going to be talking about my experience from my first year college because I just finished my first year at Emory University. When I told you guys about my experience, if you're interested in that, if you're gonna be going on to your first year, you want Thio know a little bit about that? All right, So I'm looking down. So the first question is, what was it like for you to have a roommate? No. Yeah. Honestly, The first, like two days of school we had. We were working on some chemistry work over the summer, and I was so stuck I helped asked her for help, like literally the first day, and she tried to explain it to me. I'll say, like most people I know did not become best friends with their roommate, so I don't know if that's something that you guys think will happen, but I mean, it could happen to you, but with my experience, that hasn't happened, like eight times out of 10. The second question is, how do you like handle yourself when you get a bad grade for me? I'm not gonna lie like what I first started. As like that was my first investor in my second semester. You can't really upset yourself over something that happened in the past and you can't like change, so that's just basically how I looked at it. The next question is how are your party experiences? So let's talk about it's my first semester. Most of the parties I went to it was like a way off campus. It was like sweaty, so hot, like a whole bunch of people like not even enough space to dance. I'm the type of person I loved to dance my own party. I expect a dance like If there are so many people, like shoulder to shoulder to me, I will be upset like there are so many parties I went to. For the party's off on campus, it was mostly like frat parties. There were a couple of, um, B s, say parties, black student alliance parties. The only time I went to prom party was on Halloween night, and that was pretty fun, actually, and they're like, one or two other occasions. I don't really go to frat parties, but second semester. I like, really cut down on partying and I started focusing on school more. I literally swore to myself I was not ever going off campus, paying an uber or paying for a ticket for a party ever again. Basically, like I just went to on campus parties, held by, like, B s A, um and yeah, I really wasn't partying that opted in second semester, and it made no difference. Me like I wasn't upset to let that go because the parties were not good. Anyways, y'all you were just literally wasting money and time and losing sleep for people to be olive in your space with their sweaty faces like no mad people calling me on his question is, Was it hard to find the friends that you currently have? I should say yes, but I'm gonna say no, I'll explain. So before I went to Emory, there were people like tagging every 21 all that you know what people do. So I just went on there and I started, like following people that we're going to Emory that we're gonna be in my class and some nice people hit me up. My first day, literally my first day within, like, the first couple of hours when I, like, literally just pulled up to Emory. There was a little dinner events or something, and I saw I recognize some people from the chat, and I literally just went up to them and start talking them guys. Um, so those people had come early because they did some program, I think, and they knew a couple other people and they introduced me to those people. Then those people became my main friends and literally, that's how, like I've been friends with those people since then, I don't really have many new friends, like I met other people that I say hi to, But my main friends have been the people I've been talking to since day one, basically. Besides those people, it was pretty hard for me to make different friends. Yeah, the next question is, how did you handle getting by alone at first, like being independent and on my own and having to do things for myself? So be honest. It wasn't that hard for me the first couple of days it was weird because it was basically like I just mostly talkto my roommate and not even that much. So all the extra stuff like it doesn't really matter that much, but definitely don't like lookit, movie, even be like That's college. I actually really liked it because mainly I wanted to do it just so I could, like, get closure to people and meet new people just cause I'm not good at doing that. I was taking that first semester and I was also taking chemistry, which the chemistry is not my thing. Um, and then second semester also first, Mister I had a job I worked for, like the inter Mills. It is not terrible, but I will never eat there ever after first, like midway through first semester, I stopped going to Our dining hall is often used to like every day. The nice question is, how do you feel about your professors? And I'm actually really proud to say this Go Emory because all of the professors are taken so far. For now, my major is business, and I'm still not 100%. Honestly, guys, it's been a whole year, and I really hate that for me. They're probably morning between, but I'm still not really sure. So that's basically that for the questions, I will be doing advice and tips for people who are starting their first year soon in August.
