The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Hi, I'm nancy Herro er and I'm a marketing professor here at Concordia University at ST paul. It is all about creating the next generation of business leaders. Actually came to Concordia after 20 years as a corporate marketing executives. So I try to make things very real for my students to do this. What marketing is all about is understanding of consumer organizations, wants and needs. We have to research, we have to strategize to find new products and services, figure out how to advertise it, figure out to set objectives, online marketing advertising and more. We worked very hard at making our projects very realistic. Let me give you an example of that right now in my junior classes were working on something I call the aging project. My students will actually wear a suit that ages them 50 years. So instead of being 20 there 70 as part of that project, they have to do primary and secondary research about an aging market, do a video about it and come up with a final product or service that could be marketed to that aging population. Another thing that I do is with the seniors, we work on national collegiate marketing competitions and we travel around the nation presenting case studies and solutions to various types of business and marketing projects. My basic teaching philosophy is to think, engage and enjoy marketing and business are a lot of fun. They're very challenging and they can do things that really benefit society. I hope you'll consider coming here to Concordia.
