Sports Culture at Columbia
Columbia doesn't have a huge sports culture. However, this is traded out for a great academic culture which really fosters learning.
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
One of the disappointing things about Columbia is that there isn't really a sports culture. There's no school spirit in that sense, and I think this is mainly because we don't have any rivals and because we're in the city, are athletics. Complex is removed from our main campus, so it's fairly difficult to get to. So a lot of students don't go to the games and we remain much more focus on academic pursuits and economic events, which is definitely not about, especially at an institute like this where they bring in a lot of great speakers and a lot of set up a lot of great discussions. It is kind of disappointing that there isn't that much but athletic like culture here.
