Why Colorado College Is the Right Fit for Me with Pardes
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm originally from ST louis Missouri, but I'm living in Colorado Springs right now as a senior at Colorado College, I'm enrolled in the feminist and gender studies program. That's my major, I absolutely love this department. We've only got three professors here, um, and usually 5 to 10 majors per year. So it's a very tight knit group academically vigorous, really, really promoting growth and community and personal investment in our academics, which is something that's really important to me. Um, I should be graduating this spring, but due to Covid, I took a semester off, I'm extending by a semester on the other end. What stood out, I think when I visited CC in the fall of my senior year was the small campus and the small campus community um, fostered a lot of relationships and I could see that even as our tour guide said hi to people like on our tour and had a lot of like anecdotes about each building, not just like facts because the social, the social scene and the social lives of the students are very much intertwined with the geography of the campus and the physical buildings, which I thought was really cool. The block plan obviously makes color to college stand out from other small liberal arts colleges. So I have a lot of field trips here on the block plan because you're only taking one class at a time and literally yesterday, I just got back from Telluride Colorado, which is a beautiful, beautiful mountain town where I was engaging with documentary filmmakers and their subjects.
