Beyond CSI with Natalie Tombasco
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
so beyond CSI I did earn a masters in fine arts and poetry at Butler University in Indianapolis Indiana and I'm currently a PhD candidate at Florida State University in Tallahassee where I focus on poetic tradition and gender studies in graduate school. I've taught in a variety of different settings. Kind of getting a feel if I liked teaching in middle school or high school in private universities and even community colleges. And I also taught in a range of different topics such as introductory seminars such as composition, creative writing workshops, food studies and women's literature. Two topics that are pretty passionate about. I've also volunteered in different editorial roles for literary magazines such as Booth Split lit magazine and pretty big presses read for their contest for Alice James books and I currently serve a nationally recognized journal that called The Southeast Review as I conduct interviews with pretty prolific poets and I'm also a poetry editor there as well, where I get to champion emerging writers and prominent voices in the fields. So currently I'm looking for a home to publish my debut poetry collection and I plan on applying for creative writing and literature professorships. I aim to support, inspire and recognize the talents of my students as the English department at CSI really had done for me and I and I hope to pay that forward. So if you'd like to check out some of my poems you could go to natalielouisetombasco.comThanks for listening to my experience.
