SUMMARY OF MY 1ST SEMESTER AT CHAPMAN
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I wanted to do a recap of what my first semester at college was like because honestly, when I was going to Chapman, I wanted to see more videos on YouTube of people just like talking about, like honestly, like what their experience was like getting to college, settling in and then like going through the motions of the semester and like, getting used to a completely new environment. I just want to hear from other people's perspectives what it was like. So now being in this position like that, I wanted to see from someone A year ago, I decided that I would make this video for all people that want to go Chapman or people. They're just looking to go to college, or even people that are like from my school. I knew if I went to California, which is where I wanted to go to college, I would probably be all of myself, considering where your school, like no one goes like across the country to, like, go to college like everyone stays in the south and like everyone goes to like like one of the southern schools and usually, like typically, a lot of people like like in groups, will go there like they're not trying to, like, go with all their friends. Like a lot of people for my school look, at least like two or three people would be at each school. Sometimes even like 10 people from my school would all go to the same college. When I finally got to my school and like, moved in and stuff, it was really, really cool. From the random thing Actually, it was really scary. I was like, Who is this person who I'm gonna be living with? But like Grandma, having someone like as your roommate, like, you don't get to choose, they make they make you take a quiz before they assigned you based on this quiz, and I was like, There's no way our questions like where? Anywhere similar, like our answers could not have been summer at all, but ends up getting along really, really well. Her name is Daisy, and we get along really, really well. So I got in a really nice door, like the newest on campus. So my major like for my category, like or whatever is Dodge film? I'm in the Dodge Film School. So all the Dodge film student kids are all in Moreland, which is really, really cool along with all the undecided Kansas. So if you're going different film, just know it's an awesome program, and they have the best equipment ever leave so much cool like so many cool events going on all the time. So we get to see movies before they're even out in theaters for the public, which is really, really cool. Everyone on campus is always watching stranger things freaking out about the duffer brothers because they went to Chapman and they're like the ones who created the whole show and stuff the directors of the show, I'm pretty sure so that's been really, really cool. Read a chapter from the book, and everyone talked about that class was super super cool. Um, as far as, like, test itself, we only had, like, we didn't really have any test me, just like three papers due within the final exam. I found that out, which is really cool, because I took a class and found that out because I was not gonna writing scripts at all. My scripts were just like, not the best, which is fine, But a lot of kids in my class did have really cool scripts that it was really cool to hear their ideas and, like, just like here, new fresh ideas every week from someone new, because a lot of them were really, really good. So for the online portion, we'd meet online on this really cool face, time like website called Zoom or something. Every Tuesday would have a really cool, like interactive lesson with our teacher with all the classmates and then on Thursday would meet in class. There's one professor that I like didn't really like love. Just because she was not like, as focused and really just like wasn't as involved in our coffers, I'd like. It's orientation week, and I met literally someone people there, so many activities, you d'oh! And somebody that you do and meet new people. We talk all the time and, like literally someone like my bestest friends, like the whole party scene. I'm really nervous, really, really excited, though um, more updates on that later. Um, usually, like the parties, went to a fraternity parties like sports parties like a baseball party, a football party. What I'm saying is like the Holy Party scene is it's not like the craziest thing ever. Like, we've gotten like a fraternity, like a bunch of fraternity parties, which were, like, really, really fun over really fun. If you go to Chapman and, like, you're looking to be like a huge party where there's always like USC, that's really close. Charming isn't like crazy and party, which is like a good thing because, like honestly, like when there is a fun event like it's super fun and, like you make the best out of it. It's not like you're, like, always like doing like crazy stuff goes on school and you get to focus on other stuff. The Day and night music Festival, which was like 15 minutes away from my school, which was so cool is always rappers really, really lit like it was so much fun. Something else that's really cool is the beaches. I wouldn't stay there for a week, and we did a really cool hike. I'm halfway down my freshman year and it's really insane. Um, because, yeah, it's really we're going to college. I know a lot of people make videos like this, but hopefully you got something out of this.
