Final Thoughts and Advice
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I hope these videos helped you to learn a little bit about case and the college processes. Well, some of my parting advice would be to just make sure that you really take care of yourself throughout the process. Whether it be when you're applying or while you're at school, it's really important to make sure you do go out and eat. Don't forget about that that you are making the time to have some fun and take some breaks so that you don't go crazy when you're focusing on your academics. It's really what got me through is to really manage my time, including putting sometime in there to focus on my mental health and wellness. I. I also think it's really important to go into college with us few expectations as possible because the more you expect, the more room there is to be disappointed. The only things where I was disappointed R when I had really high expectations. So I really tried to go in with as few expectations as possible and had a really good time. So important things to keep in mind about case is, yes, it can be hard academically, but there's really so much to do, and we have really cool opportunities to get out there and take breaks, whether it be going to visit the museums or going to the Cleveland Orchestra. There's really so much of the area and so much to do that you could never get bored. There every spring there's a concert called Spring Fest. This year, Echo Smith came to campus as well as some really cool other bands and even some student bands played. There's really so many cool things to do on campus on DH. Even the academics can be really fun if you let them be. It is really good Overall, there are also some opportunities to see therapy dogs, which is amazing. There's a campus canines club and first a new cat cafe in the area, so there's a lot of different ways around campus to de stress. I think it's important to realize that no matter where you go, you don't have to have it all figured out right away. As long as you are picking classes that will help you with whatever you decide to do. You don't need to know exactly what you want to major in and what you want to do after college right away. I personally knew going in what I wanted to dio. I know people were deciding between four majors and have or have even no idea or changing their minds of seniors. So as long as you take classes that will help you, regardless of your path, it's okay. Do not know what you're doing, even if those around you do. Something I think that's important to consider is whether or not you want to have a job on campus. It's obviously helpful from a financial perspective, but if it's gonna keep you from doing while academically, then you might have to look look at different options. I think one way to best offer yourself is so to apply to his May scholarships before going to school so that you don't get stuck. There are a lot of on campus opportunities to do work, especially if you have work study, so it is really something to keep in mind. Another thing that I think is really important to keep in mind about case and something I wish I had known going in is that Greek life here is very different. It's not like anything you would expect, which is something I really liked. I've met a lot of people who are really amazing through Greek life as well as through just being on campus. There's a lot of really amazing people, and it's really great to go and people things where you can get to know them. I hope wherever you end up that you do well and enjoy, thank you.
