Hi. My name is Ariel and I go to case Western Reserve University. Hi, I'm Aria, and I'm gonna go to you can. We're here to talk to you about the college admissions process. When you were applying, What do you wish you in them? I wish I had known How many supplements some of these schools require? I would say definitely try to, like, cut down the amount of schools you're applying to as much as possible. I applied to 11 schools and I think I had to write about 36 supplements, which was absolutely insane. A. The applications were quite tedious and end up getting into a lot of those. Each application takes such a long time, requires so much. I wish I knew that Teo, how much each application was Really? How much work you two he told was going bay. Especially if you're considering visiting all of them schools and trying Teo impress by going on the tours. All of that actually was from the visiting the school was helpful books. I thought you could include little tidbits of that in the UAE. This school? Yes. I never went on one of those campus tour for Yeah, for me personally. What else? I wish I had known is being a theater design major. There was a portfolio aspect and a lot of different schools did it very differently. So you really have to put in the research about if you're having any supplementary materials, how schools accept each of those. Our theatre and music majors and guard the three big ones where you have to send the report folios. Now, Okay, so my biggest advice to people applying is to start early, especially if you're considering applying to upwards of 10. Some schools can have, like, six or seven supplemental essays. So if you could start, like maybe the summer before your senior year with that common app essay and even some of the supplementals, which come out on this first. I think every year that's a really, really big tip. Then once you get into the fall, especially actually starting your classes for senior year, it will be a lot less stressful. I know I personally started over the summer, and Major made my common app account even before August 1st so I wouldn't have to do that and can fill out most of the family information in the stuff that wouldn't change based on schools and then August 1st or really July 31st. When it went out at 11 31 at night, I started to fill out the rest of the common application just to get it out of the way so it wouldn't have to be something and worry about during the school year. With all of those applications, getting them done as early as possible not only looks good to the schools but also frees you up. Tio, make sure you're keeping up with your grades during your senior year because as much as it can be fun to slip up, they really do. Another thing is that not only do schools look atyour midterm reports, but I know in many of my acceptance letters the acceptance was contingent upon your grave's continuing throughout the year on DH that you would graduate with the growth you had seemed to have in your previous years. Outsiders to spend a lot of time and make sure those things are really good quality because I think a lot of people really focus on G P A and scores, which are obviously super important. I think, is just as important, especially showing the schools like why I really want to go there and how much time you put into their saying researching their school. That's a really piece of advice, and I think it's also really important to put yourself into that, I say, and make sure it's really is your voice, not anyone else's, and that it truly represents your passion. Oh, that schools can really see why you specifically stand out as an individual for case. Specifically, I know that I did a lot of things when I did go, Uh, one of the things I think is really important is looking and researching a bunch of scholarships for any school, but especially for case thie scholarships, most of which have separate applications. It's important to go out and fill those out and really put effort into those as well. So you can make the financial burden a lot less and then actually get the chance to focus more on your experience in school. When I would interview with anyone, I would write them and thank you know afterward. I know the person who I interviewed with for the scholarship I ended up receiving noted to me in person that she had appreciated that I sent that. So I think giving that human response is something that is really appreciated and we'll help you. It's just a little thing, but it will help you go far. I think people would really appreciate that thing, you know, especially there's always volunteer interviewing. Every little detail during the admissions process can feel stress, yes, but it's important to do your best to like, Oh, that you really just try and let yourself shine. You stay genuine and you make yourself so shine through those essays in your application. You know that you have good luck with your college, Yes..
