Main Building

Main Building is a Grade II listed building home to the Schools of Chemistry (including the Cardiff Catalysis Institute), Earth & Environmental Sciences and the Medicines Discovery Institute - which is part of the School of Biosciences. The building was complete in 1909 and includes a historic Council Chamber, the VJ Gallery (used for functions and named after the University’s first Principal- Viramu Jones), seminar rooms and multiple large lecture theatres.
