Founders Hall is one of our sweet style restaurant calls here. I got to live here this year and last year, so I've been lucky enough to call this place home for two years in a row. One of the things that I really like about Founders is its close proximity to downtown. It's literally a one minute walk to Subway pita pit. It's also really close to a lot of important buildings on campus, such as University Hall, Clean Center, the Bone Tom System, Union Esso. I really like living here because you kind of feel like you're in the middle of everything and just about everything on campus and everything downtown is within walking distance. So right behind me is our out takes convenience store on the ground floor. Right behind me is our Office of the Honors College. Academic advisers, the demon, the honors College students who live here and founders often are also in the honors college. We could just come down here and talk to advisor to talk to the dean of students. Um, if the founders Dan, how's your popcorn? Boys? Founders also has classrooms on the ground floor as you can see behind me, there's lots of rolling desks. Since I live in founders, I basically just got out of bed, went downstairs and was already to class. So it's really nice and definitely a perk of living and founders. So I'm currently in the honors College den on the ground floor. Currently in the Laundry and Founders Hall, some of our dryers are washers, all students who are living on campus at TGS, you free laundry. So that's one of the things that I really like most living on campus. So every residence hall comes with a computer lab that also has a printer. Every resident hall has in any kitchen that way. Way also have this lovely table and some seating as well as a TV. Founders also has an ATM on the ground floor for PNC Bank, so students can just walk down here and in there and get some cash if they need some Founders Hall is a shuttle stop for both the Orange mainline and the Falcon Express. The orange mainline is a large blooper on campus, and the past express is smaller. Really hot, really rainy or even just walk outside, jump on the bus and its class. So I'm currently in the fourth floor lounge and Founders Hall. Um, all of our academic buildings here on campus have lounges first inst, either socialized do some homework. Uh, sit on the couch, is and do some homework when I don't want to do homework in my room myself. Let's talk a little bit about safety at residents halls. So every residence hall has a front door that has opened from the hours of seven a m to midnight and then right at midnight, uh, those front doors, air going toe lock, and you're only going to be able to get in with your personal entry device or pet. Um, you go up to the front desk, which is man twenty four hours by a student, present your ID so I can verify that you live here, and then you can go to your room. Um, all of the residents holes also have side doors. Uh, you need to use your head twenty four seven to get into those, except after midnight, they lock completely, and you can only get in through the front door. So you really can't go anywhere in the building without bringing your pet with you. Uh, extra safety measure that we have for students here. Students are also going to get their own resident advisor. Every student on campus is going have arisen an advisor who's gonna help them adjust on campus life. Last year, my resident advisor actually held a little event in this room, Um, where he had hot chocolate and brownies. We watched er, uh, Christmas Christmas movie right before winter break. We all just kind of hung out in our pajamas, and it was really fun. If you have questions about on campus life, if you have any conflicts with your roommate, they could help you resolve them. Uh, so your resident advisor is a really great resource Christians to use on campus. How to choose If you do decide to live on campus a p G s u. It's really centrally located. It has a lot of different amenities that I feel like really make it feel like huh Uh, so thanks so much for watching this, uh, Founders tour, and I'll see you guys later.
