The Difference between BU ID, MyHusky, and BOLT
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm gonna work out with admissions, and I make this video to kind of go over the differences between our student I D cards here on campus and then also my husky and bolts. So these air kind of three different terms that got thrown around a lot when you're an incoming freshman and it can be kind of confusing, So hopefully by the end of this video, you guys were kind of I have a better understanding of what the differences are and how their use her on campus. Okay, so the first thing I'm gonna talk to you guys about is our student I d cards. So when you come on campus, you're gonna get a little card that looks like this. I don't have your beautiful face, your name and your student I d. Number as well, our car to use for kind of two main things, I would say around campus. The first of those is getting into your dorm so you actually have to make your card to get into the actual building and then to get into your room as well. So they're super important if you want to go back your dormant end of classes, you'll need it to get in. The second main thing that they're useful around campus is dining. So if you go to the screen comments or the husky allowance, you'll have to swipe your card in order to access your meal plan. So it'll take meals, flex or husky gold off of your card as well. If you do happen to lose it, we do have a card center where you can go and get a new one. So if you lose, it is not the complete end of the world. You do have to pay a fee, and they're not open on the weekend. So if you have to do, is it like a Friday night? Say you won't be able to access your meal plan until Monday, when the cartoon is reopened. So my husky is a website that we have through the university. Service is online, so it's gonna be important for academic and financial reasons. Through my Husky every semester you're gonna have to schedule your classes. So it's really nice that it's online, but it's important to know how to use it as well. Through my Husky, you kind of look at your academic history so you convey your transcript and request official transcript as well. It's also important for financial reasons, so all of your tuition and fee bills will go through my husky so they'll be payable on there. My Husky, you can view and accept your financial aid. So if you have any kind of scholarship or aid through fastball, when you come into Bloomsburg, you have to view and accepted in there as well. So it's important for a lot of reasons and definitely useful to students as you go through your four years here. So lastly, I'm gonna talk about bold. So Bull is our online during technology here at Bloomsburg, and basically that's a fancy way of saying it's a website. Professors can goingto upload assignments, lecture slides, any extra materials that might be helpful to students. They can post discussion boards or any other announcements that might be necessary for students to see. So if class is cancelled due to inclement weather or anything like that, they could make that announcement post on board. Um, so yeah, all right, So lastly, I'm gonna talk about Bolt. So both is our online learning technology here at Bloomsburg on Basically, that's a fancy way of saying it's a website where professors can go to post assignments, lecture side any extra materials that might be helpful for students. They can post discussion boards or any extra announcements that students might need to see so many updates about homework or classes or anything like that. I really like it, and a lot of professors will also post grades on there as well. So it's kind of just easy avenue to just get everything done. Take quizzes, view assignments, take your grades, everything like that. Yeah, definitely something you'll have to get used to using when you come here. I hope that this really cleared up some confusion that there may have been about the differences between student I. D. Bull and my husky.
