I am a junior at Bloomsburg and I'm a dual deaf education, early childhood education, major. Today I have my roommate, Alison with E, and she's gonna give us a deep side. It's that really talented education program here. The first one is educational technology, and the second one is special education. Chose these because I figured that they would set me apart from all the other applicants. When I waas applying to jobs on, I also thought that they would make me a better teacher all around to help my students. Because technology is such a big aspect of our lives today, it's always growing in developing this Friday, so many extra resource is that I did not know about before. I'll learn things like creating my own classroom website more about classroom and more about essential power Point. Allison, are you involved in any closer organizations here on campus. I am actually I'm in SEC, which is student council for exceptional Children. I'm actually on the exact board and I'm the program director. Wow, What is the purpose of Student Council for Exceptional Children? And what is your role as program director? So soon? Council for Exceptional Sugar provides support for families that have Children with special needs. As a program director, I go thio general meetings and accept board meetings. I plan events for the families things like activities that they could go thio their Children have way eso This weekend we actually had a faulty event where we have a few kids come on to assume way have activity where they had to get believes outside and we didn't leave rubbings. Then we put them out and we put them onto every So it's really cute that they could hang up in their kitchen or their rooms. Wow, it seems like a club that really provides students a lot of opportunities for real life experiences. So what would you say is one thing you really gain from this club like you said. I think that I have gained a lot of opportunities with Children with special needs, so it's really opened my eyes. Thio Wanting to add a special education liner, Loser University offers students a chance to be a part of learning communities. Learning communities are inclusive environments where students with similar majors and interests are offered rich learning experiences inside and outside the classroom Where you part of any learning communities? Actually, while I was in the education learning community, how would you say that? Being a part of a learning community impact video, I actually need a lot from me in a learning community. I was able thio move in a week early, and so I met everyone that was in the learning community with me and actually all my roommates. Today we're in that learning community, and we were able to be, oh, along with me to my freshman roommate. We were able to really connect, and she was able to support me and anything that I needed. So if I needed help in the class that she already had, she was able to help me out. Able to help me socially, like telling me about clothes that I could be in involved in. She also helped me if I needed support or anyone to talk. Alison, we only have one last question for you today. That would be what has your favorite class, then? Hear it. So my favorite class here, Bloomsburg waas like to 11 which was early childhood development. I really liked this class because it gave me a different perspective on early childhood development. Usually the education classes you just learn about when they're a little older. So I really like this class because it was more geared towards the age that I wanna teach. So thank you so much for joining us today and giving me a deep dive into the early childhood education major here, Bloomsburg and your experience and stay tuned for the rest of My Deep dies by E..
