Application Process
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
So like I mentioned my intro video, Illusory is actually school. I heard through my guidance counselor I was talking to are saying, I want you're saying things like that tell you kind of what I wanted from campus. She's the one that recommended this university and told me, Hey, let's go tour it. Let me know what you think So that's what I did with that with application process. Basically, as a nursing major, we do have an earlier deadline. I would highly recommend knowledge, my major, but with a lot of majors. If you're part of a program, definitely check out when the deadline for your application, or sometimes during program. They do have different deadlines than someone who's just having a general major. I'd also recommend not just my major book, any major applying as soon as possible, always gonna help you out because the earlier you applied, they're more open spaces and that would have a better chance of getting it. But also your senior year isn't so much easier because you're going down with the application, and you're just gonna be kind of trying to get ready to graduate, which is really nice with applications is always things that are optional. That's so for whom? Drink? I remember when I applied on the person statement kind like an optional thing that I didn't have to actually write one. I chose really? Because anything that optional is gonna give him a better picture of who you are, and that's gonna give them more of insight on Okay, you know what? We do want the student at our school. I would definitely recommend, you know, personal statement, things like that because it gives you a little more than just kind of like a by the book who you are, but actually as a person who are who you are. That really helps them kind of figure out what they, you know, can see that your future, it should be held here. S h ok, I'm not gonna standardized exams on the worst. I was probably one of the worst parts of my whole application together if you're kind of putting to the side and because I'm just really bad at standardized exams, So I would like to mention it s a T prep. Classes for me personally weren't the most helpful for me. It's more practice, practice, practice and I didn't practice enough. So I one thing where I struggled with it just didn't put as much effort as I should have. I think wanted to is good because they do give you a little bit of more insight on, like how the questions are able to expect like that. I know I took like, one or two classes, and it did help me with some of the questions, like how the word A Like what? They actually warned the answers, things like that. Don't stress too much of the city's obviously, like do your best work your hardest and all that. If it is a little bit lower or like a weak point like for me and my application, I have talked about else like telling them, you know, like just to give you a reason like, Hey, I'm not overall in a good studio h that come to stare exams. So it's like one of those things again, really get little insight of who you are and know that you are trying things like that. The last thing I want to talk about is going to be kind of like in a patient admissions. Like, What are they looking for today? They're looking for someone who's individual, someone who is not just your basic, you know, science major and just, you know, took sciences AP classes. Whatever is that they want someone who is an individual who did something a little bit different, something you know, that's hard, their passion, but also something that I like to do. So again I would highly recommend just amping yourself up. I know for me I'm someone who doesn't want, like, overhype myself, things like that, but honestly do that there's an application this for your future, for your job. Everything else like your college, is what leads you to everything else, so make sure to hide yourself up. Tell them exactly what you did in high school like you did volunteering. If you did, if you had a job, how you balance if you show them that you're a well rounded person and why you specifically are someone who they need to take it to their school because other than they want that point that that point, like you know what? This person is going to be a kind of key to university, someone who's gonna get our university to the next steps again. Just make sure to hide yourself with the most you can. Don't be like to narcissistic, but obviously hyper zip up, be very professional with it and then also just kind of show them like, Hey, I worked hard. I am a hard worker and do things I've done through my high school And I want to carry out this stuff in college and make myself even better. Things like that, Yeah, So there's like a quick trips and tricks for application blows as well as I got to university, but hopefully this helps.
