Another reason that I really chose Berry was the work study program. So the majority of students on campus have a job on campus and I work in the Office of Admissions. Right now, I'm doing mostly office work and eventually I'm gonna be a tour guide, which is so exciting because when my mom and I came on a tour of Berry College, I literally told her I want to do that, like I want to be the tour guide. That would be so fun. So it's still crazy to me that I'm an ambassador for Berry and then I'm gonna get to like give tour guides and to help students choose Berry. I think that's so cool and I've always had a job, that's just been part of my high school experience was to have a job and also balance, you know sports, school, social life. So I knew that I wanted to have that sense of responsibility as well as like business that I wanted to push myself and I wanted to like put my hard work to good use, and get a paycheck every once in a while, and Berry is amazing about that because they're going to base your work schedule around your school schedule. So it's never gonna be too much that you can't handle, as well as you're gonna be doing something that's great for your major. So like I said, I'm a Communications major, I love talking to people, I love being social, I love helping people. So working as a tour guide, working as an ambassador, that's amazing and for when I'm out of school and I'm gonna be applying to like jobs, you know, I'm gonna be in job interviews, my resume is gonna be so far ahead of students who weren't at Berry, and who didn't have jobs all four years. There is students I know that have multiple jobs on campus, who are like checking off multiple boxes of stuff that they want to do and stuff that they want on their resumes, so it's just really cool. I'm also a writer for the Valkyrie magazine, which is um Berry's online digital magazine that we do, we also print it, it's every semester they print an issue. So I'm a writer for them, so I'm also, while I'm working in Admissions, I'm also writing articles for my school and that's just amazing to me because that's more like a passion project. I love to write, so it's really cool that I'm getting to write articles for a magazine that is going to be printed and that's going to be accessed digitally for future job interviews that I can say I did this, look at my hard work while I was in college and that's just really amazing.
