Joining Clubs and Making Friends at Berry College with Camille

For the clubs that Berry, um there's a ton of different clubs, so you can basically just join whatever and they don't like require experience or like knowledge of the subject to join the club, you can just like hop right in and make friends that way. Um personally I made friends by just talking to people. Um like when I was a freshman and I came to campus, there was like the whole freshman class was just hanging out outside like right outside of the freshman dorm building, and basically I just like went out to a bunch of people and started talking to them and now those people are like my best friends right now. So it actually like really helps just to talk to random people even if you're like shy or not comfortable. Um everybody is really eager to make friends, so just talk to people, it's that easy. And also since there's so many weekend events, um just like inviting someone to an event or like being invited is a really easy way to make friends. There's no Greek life at Berry, which is something that I was like a little confused about, like why isn't there Greek life. Um but basically, Greek life just isn't like Berry. I feel like Greek life at other schools kind of just like separates people, but at Berry, everybody is kind of just like together in like a big family sort of way. So Greek life is like not really something that we do here, but when I was first thinking about Berry, I was kind of nervous about the fact that there's no Greek life. Um, but I've actually found it like super easy to make friends and I think if there was Greek life, I honestly I don't think many people would do it because there's so many things to do here anyway, like clubs, sports, events that like you don't even really need greek life to make friends. Also very is a dry campus, so there's no like giant parties, ragers, like not really any of that. So if you are looking for like a party campus, party school, I wouldn't recommend coming here. Obviously people do throw on like little events in their room, but it's like dorm room, so it's not like a giant party and in my experience um, once you have like a friend group you like find something to do around campus and you kind of just like do that with your friends, but then like at the events, at sports games, that's where like all the friend groups come together, so it's really like no issue to come together here.
