Day in the Life of a Berry College Student with Abby Grace
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
So after lunch, I went to economics class. Usually I have three classes today, but for some reason my Com class and my Music class got canceled. It was like personal reasons to the professor. So that's just kind of funny that of all days, you know, the day that I was like planning to make a video going through my routine, two of my classes got canceled. So that's funny. Hey guys. So our Communications class got canceled today, so we're actually in the library right now just doing some homework, hanging out, drinking some coffee. Um, after economics, I went back to my room and I was feeling that kind of like midday slump. So I was going to fix myself some coffee and then I realized I was totally out of coffee. So I decided to make a Publix run. So this is me out in Rome. Very typical afternoon. I'm not afraid to go out in Rome by myself. You know, I'm from like a really small town. I'm not used to like kind of like a city atmosphere like this is, but Rome is still that kind of really good mix of like city and small town. So if I'm going out at night, I go out with friends, you know. If we're ever going to eat, you know, or going to see a movie, that kind of thing, I go in a group. But like today, you know, it's like three o'clock in the afternoon. I'm not afraid to spend 20 minutes, go to Publix, and get myself some coffee. So I just want to show you everything that I got. I got some veggie straws, yeah, and also got some coffee to put back in my fridge, that's my favorite kind. Um and then I also decided, you know, I would go ahead and grab me some dinner, so I got the sushi, yum. That was just me, another part of my day, making it a little Publix run before, you know, after class and then I have a meeting later, so you know, just had a couple of hours just to kill decided. So there's a Laughlin behind me, that's like the hub of communications. I'm a communications major, but that's also where the publications office is based. So I just had my weekly five o'clock meeting for the Valkyrie magazine, which is the student led magazine on campus. It's really cool, you know, at our meetings we just talked about our assignments, like what stories we have coming up, photo shoots, graphics, that kind of thing. Um as an Assistant Style Editor, I'm writing articles about fashion on campus and different things like that, so it's really cool, it's a really good sense of community. Getting all those, all those stories done and put on my resume is really impressive. It's one of the things that I love about Berry, it's also one of my jobs. I get paid to do that, it's super fun, I really like it. I'm just wrapping up a workout at the Cage Center, which is available to all students. It opens at like six a.m. And stays open until like 11 o'clock at night. And this isn't an athletes only gym, that's a separate facility. So this is for any student any time of the day. It's really easy to fit a workout in, coming here just for a little bit. Um There's a lot of options, so. So after I left the gym, I ended up just coming back to my dorm, um taking a shower, and then I started studying for a vocab test i have tomorrow, and that's pretty much all I did from like nine o'clock on. I'm about to go to bed now, So yeah thank you for coming along with me for like a quick day in the life you know of a freshman at Berry College. This is what it looked like, see you guys.
