I am currently a senior at AustIN PEAY State University and I'm double majoring in public relations and corporate communication. When I was in high school, I was very involved in my marching bands, color guard all four years and I knew that going into college, I wanted to continue that. The governor's on marching band, which we call Gombe for short, is a great way to get involved on campus. I remember going into my color guard auditions my freshman year, I was a little bit nervous, but as soon as I walked through the doors, I instantly felt like I had known these people for years. Everyone was so welcoming, they made sure to answer any questions I had and they were just there to welcome you to the family and celebrate that I chose to be a part of this. If you ask any staff members, any current Gombe students or any alumni gum students to describe going with one word, everyone will choose the word family. As soon as you join, you have these people to depend upon, they're there to support you and celebrate everything that you accomplish. If you are looking for an organization to join Austin P, you should definitely choose the GOm. We always do a lot of fun stuff from our bank camp, football games to performances, to fund trips that we take. It's really a great place to meet wonderful people and find where you belong at Austin P Yeah..
