My name is Catherine Walsh and I am a sophomore majoring in global management and today I am in the courtyard. This is one of my favorite places here on the west campus where I'm based. It's a really peaceful place and um in general you'll just find a lot of students uh sitting here doing homework, eating lunch and just enjoying the peace in general. My favorite thing about being in a. S. U. Student is just the people. Um we pride ourselves on whom we include not, then we exclude. So you're going to meet people from tons of different backgrounds from all over the world with different beliefs and they will uh they will bring new ideas to you that you have never heard before and that's a way not just to learn academically but also through the people you meet and what ideas they tell you. It's it's a really eye opening experience and especially just, you know, we're such a large university that There's tons of people here and you're gonna make tons of people and they're just gonna, they're gonna bring you a new perspective that could possibly change your life. I chose a issue because it's always been a part of my life. Um, I live 10 minutes from the West Campus, so it's always been there. I didn't choose it just because of the close proximity. I chose a issue because it had such a good reputation. Um, it's the number one, an innovation and uh, it has excellent programs for practically any fields that you can think of. Um, as a business student, I was aware of the reputation of Deputy Kerry and Thunderbird School of Global Management. So that was really encouraging, knowing that no matter what brooded shows, I was going to go into like a really good business school. So I would say anybody with an open mind, so like I said before, you're going to meet a lot of people with a variety of perspectives and just having an open mind about those perspectives and uh learning from the people around you, not just in the classroom um is really gonna help you thrive here. Also kind of having this, I would say like the desire to explore knowledge, so taking that extra mile to maybe go to an extra like an extra guest speaker or joining a club and just being open minded in general and wanting to explore new opportunities and new ideas. That's really what's going to help you succeed here. I would say students with an open mind.
