The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
My name is Rebecca, and I'm here with Campus Real to tell you about minds up by experience. I'm a sophomore here at Adelphi University, majoring in sociology with minors in marketing and psychology. My hometown is Stony Point, New York, which is about an hour and a half north of adult five. I also work as an event assistant on campus, working at different open house events and information sessions in regards to clubs and organizations. I am the treasure of the largest community service organization on campus caliber by the secretary for the psychology club. My experience so far has been amazing, and I can't wait to tell you all about it. Everybody has their own idea of exactly what they're looking for. For me, I was looking for a small but active community where I could take a diverse set of classes. It wasn't too far away from home, but most importantly, a place that I felt comfortable adults. I checked every single one of those boxes are campuses small, medium sized school with about 8000 students and offered his classes that I never even thought I'd take a history of jazz. There's something for everybody to get involved with, and it's the perfect distance for me to feel that I can go home on the weekends. What solidified Adelphi as the correct choice for me was when I learned about the honors college. This program offers students the opportunity not only to become deep fingers but greatly improves written and verbal communication skills. Your perspective on complex and current issues are what drives these classes. After I saw how Adelphi was everything I was looking for, getting accepted into the honors program was the confidence I needed to fully commit, and I'm so glad that I did. Since coming here, I've been able to create my own path and study what I'm truly interested in. I hope to work as a marketing expert in the future, combining my interest in social sciences in business to guide branding communications. Some of the classes I've taken here so far that have really interested me and allowed me to learn more about this topic are sociology, the family sales promotion and direct marketing and classic culture. Each of these courses challenged me academically and allowed me to pursue interest in these fascinating topics. One of the biggest benefits to come into Adelphi is that there's a whole staff of people who are working to make sure you can study exactly what you want. The only reason I was able to go on this academic journey combining business and social sciences is because of how understanding and communicable my professors and advisors have been, but also the initiative I took to make this a reality. The students that drive most at Adelphi but those who take the opportunities that are presented with mhm there are so many opportunities and possibilities and ways to be involved on campus. By being open to new chances, students will really be able to grow in itself. I thank you so much for watching I can't wait to show you all more about my experience.
